MedSirat Entrepreneurship Foundations Training Programme — MedSirat Academy
Entrepreneurship

MedSirat Entrepreneurship FoundationsFrom business idea to a viable venture.Training Programme

Work on one venture from the first question to the launch roadmap. Connect the people, the market, the operating plan and the numbers before committing to a business model.

12 live hours · 9 modules · 2 Academy credits. A foundation programme, not a certification or a promise of funding.

Suggested delivery: two six-hour days or four three-hour sessions. The twelve-hour total stays the same.
01
Why this programme

An idea becomes a venture when its assumptions can be tested.

A business model, a market study and a financial forecast should describe the same venture. This programme connects them rather than treating them as separate documents.

Begin with the people

Clarify the founders’ motivations, capabilities and expectations before allocating roles.

Test the opportunity

Separate evidence about customers from assumptions about what they might buy.

Connect the studies

Market demand informs capacity; capacity informs costs; both inform the financial model.

Finish with decisions

Identify what to test next, what to change and what must be in place before launch.

02
The nine modules

One venture, developed in nine steps

A proposed twelve-hour teaching allocation follows. Each module contributes a working output to the same venture dossier; these are initial tools, not completed professional studies.

Part 1 · People and purpose

Establish the foundations

Define the venture and align the people behind it.

01
Entrepreneurship essentials · 60 min

Definitions, value creation and business risk. Distinguish self-employment, small business and a startup.

Output: venture purpose and initial scope.
02
The entrepreneur and the founding team · 60 min

Motivation, capabilities, experience, risk appetite and constraints. Map complementary profiles rather than an ideal entrepreneurial personality.

Output: founder capability map and development priorities.
03
Co-founder and shareholder alignment · 60 min

Shared ambition, contributions, roles, decision-making and conflict prevention. Distinguish ownership from management.

Output: founder alignment canvas; not a legal agreement.
Part 2 · Model and feasibility

Test how the venture works

Connect the customer promise to delivery and financial assumptions.

04
Opportunity validation and business model · 90 min

Customer problem, value proposition, segments, revenue, costs and channels. Build a Business Model Canvas and identify assumptions to test.

Output: initial business model and validation plan.
05
Market research and commercial strategy · 90 min

Customer research, demand, competition, positioning, pricing and routes to market. Turn evidence into commercial assumptions.

Output: initial market assessment and research priorities.
06
Technical and operational feasibility · 90 min

Product or service delivery, technology, equipment, location, suppliers, people, capacity and quality.

Output: operating plan and resource requirements.
07
Financial feasibility · 120 min

Investment, operating costs, revenue assumptions, margins, break-even, working capital and cash flow. Compare a base case with a downside scenario.

Output: initial financial model and funding requirement.
Part 3 · Resources and launch

Prepare the next move

Use the evidence to plan resources, relationships and action.

08
Funding and investment readiness · 90 min

Compare funding options with the venture’s stage and needs. Explain the use of funds and explore the implications of bringing in investors.

Output: funding strategy and concise venture pitch.
09
Partnerships, internationalisation and launch · 60 min

Identify partners and mutual value, consider readiness for international expansion, and prioritise the next actions.

Output: partnership map and 90-day action plan.
03
The architecture

A connected dossier, not nine disconnected presentations

Keep one set of assumptions across the modules. When market evidence changes, revisit the delivery plan and the numbers.

Build

One venture

Participants use an idea or an early-stage venture throughout the programme. Each output becomes an input to the next discussion.

Challenge

One coherent case

Use feedback to check whether the team, business model, operational plan and financial assumptions support one another.

Validation is the connecting thread: what do we know, what are we assuming, and what evidence should we seek next?

Twelve hours introduces the methods and starts the work. Customer research, technical checks and detailed financial development continue after the programme.

04
Who it is for

For people preparing to build or develop a venture

No existing company is required. Bring a business idea, an early-stage venture or a proposed project within a family business.

01

Aspiring entrepreneurs

Structure an idea and identify what needs to be tested before committing resources.

02

Early-stage founders

Revisit the connection between customers, delivery, costs and funding.

03

Family-business successors

Explore a new activity and clarify the relationship between ownership and management.

04

Students and project teams

Build a first venture dossier through guided exercises.

This programme develops your own venture. SCBC prepares professionals to support other ventures through the Siratify platform; it is a separate pathway.

05
What you leave with

A working venture dossier

Founder alignment

Purpose, capabilities, contributions and roles.

Business model and validation plan

A first canvas with the assumptions that need evidence.

Market and operating outline

Research priorities, delivery requirements and resource assumptions.

Financial model

Initial projections, a downside scenario and a funding estimate.

Funding case

A use-of-funds explanation and a concise pitch.

Launch roadmap

Potential partners and prioritised actions for the next 90 days.

06
Format

Twelve live hours, with time to apply the tools

Suggested formats are two six-hour days or four three-hour sessions. Final scheduling is confirmed with each cohort; breaks are outside the twelve learning hours.

12live hours
9modules
2Academy credits
0certifications
Suggested intensive format

Two six-hour days

A compact sequence across the nine modules, with guided work on one venture.

Suggested spaced format

Four three-hour sessions

The same content over four meetings, allowing participants to refine assumptions between sessions.

Short explanations, worked examples and guided application alternate throughout. Module allocations total 720 minutes; they are a proposed teaching plan, not separate course durations.

07
Learning and completion

Learning feedback, not a certification assessment

The programme carries two Academy credits and offers no certification. Practical exercises help participants develop their venture; they do not confer a professional credential.

01
ApplyOne venture

Build the working outputs progressively across the nine modules.

02
ReviewFormative feedback

Discuss assumptions, inconsistencies and next tests with the facilitator.

03
PlanNext actions

Consolidate the venture dossier and choose priorities for further work.

What this programme does not award

  • No certification and no credential post-nominal.
  • No guarantee of business viability, investment or access to funding.
  • No automatic award of SCBC or any other Academy certification.

Final specification: 12 live hours, nine modules, two Academy credits, no certification.

08
Academy credits

Two credits for the learning hours

Two Academy credits are assigned to the twelve live hours, consistent with Management Foundations. They recognise learning volume, not certified competence.

Whole-unit allocation

12 hours ÷ 5 = 2.4, counted as two whole credits under the agreed programme allocation.

Separate from certification

The credit allocation creates no new credential and does not waive the requirements of any certification route.

09
Participation

Bring a venture and work through it

The programme can be planned for individuals, founder teams or institutional cohorts. Delivery arrangements are confirmed before enrolment.

01
Choose the working venture

Bring an idea or early-stage project that can be discussed without disclosing sensitive information.

02
Confirm the format

Agree the cohort language, delivery setting and timetable.

03
Prepare for application

Bring available customer, operating and cost information; identify unknowns rather than inventing figures.

Practical preparation

  • One idea or venture to use across the programme.
  • A way to work on the business-model and financial templates.
  • Permission to share the information used in group exercises.

Contact and enrolment destinations have not yet been supplied; this page does not submit an application.

10
Facilitation

From explanation to application

The proposed teaching approach combines venture development, operational feasibility and financial modelling.

Venture development

Facilitate founder alignment, business-model work and customer assumptions.

Feasibility

Connect market research to delivery requirements and the financial model.

Integration

Help participants identify inconsistencies and prioritise the next tests.

Faculty names and biographies: to be confirmed before publication.

11
Questions

Before you join

Is this a certification?

No. It is a twelve-hour programme carrying two Academy credits, without certification or a post-nominal.

Do I need a registered company?

No. A business idea or proposed project is sufficient for the exercises.

Will I finish a complete business plan?

You develop an initial dossier and identify the work still needed. Twelve hours does not replace full market research or detailed feasibility work.

Is funding included?

No. The programme helps you structure a funding strategy and pitch; it does not provide or guarantee funding.

Is this SCBC?

No. This programme develops the entrepreneur’s own venture. SCBC is a separate professional credential and pathway.

Must every venture internationalise?

No. The module introduces readiness and partnership questions, not an obligation to expand abroad.

Turn the next assumption into a test

Use one venture to connect the founding team, customer, operations, financial model and next steps.

Programme Fondations de l’entrepreneuriat MedSirat — MedSirat Academy
Entrepreneuriat
