Public Speaking — Live Training — MedSirat Academy

MedSirat Academy · Course

Public SpeakingMake your message clear. Give it presence.Live Training

Prepare, deliver and improve a presentation through two days of theory, practical activities and facilitator feedback.

A clear message needs more than good slides. Explore how to understand an audience, shape an argument and use voice, body language and visual support to make a presentation easier to follow.

Who it is for

For professionals, managers, entrepreneurs and students preparing to present ideas, explain a project, speak in a meeting or address a group. Bring a real speaking situation to connect the subject to your own context.

Learning outcomes

Build a message with impact

Structure a presentation for an audience and develop a short story that supports its purpose.

Coordinate words, voice and body

Practise verbal, paraverbal and nonverbal communication and explore the emotional elevator in delivery.

Refine through practice

Deliver, receive feedback and try again, identifying concrete improvements in clarity, presence and impact.

Curriculum

Emotions and the emotional elevator

Explore speaking nerves and the emotional dimension of a presentation. Introduce the emotional elevator as a way to consider changes in emotional intensity and how these relate to the message and its impact.

Audience, structure and impact

Define your purpose and audience. Build an opening, a logical progression and a memorable conclusion; use evidence, examples and readable visual support to reinforce the message.

Verbal communication — the words

Choose clear, concrete language, articulate the key message and formulate questions and answers without losing the thread of your presentation.

Paraverbal communication — the voice

Explore tone, volume, pace, articulation, pauses and emphasis, and how vocal choices change the way the same words are received.

Nonverbal communication — the body

Explore posture, gestures, gaze, facial expression and movement. Consider how physical presence aligns with the words and voice, in a room or on camera.

Storytelling — give the message a story

Structure a short story with context, a turning point and a meaningful conclusion. Connect its emotional progression to your message rather than adding a story only for entertainment.

Both versions cover the same theoretical subjects. They are separate courses: guided practice and facilitator feedback belong to live training, not to the self-paced version.

How you learn

Short theoretical inputs alternate with exercises, speaking attempts and feedback. You work on a presentation relevant to your context instead of only discussing speaking techniques.

Day 1 — Message, emotions and storytelling

Explore emotions and the emotional elevator; structure a message and build a short story. Test openings and tell the story to the group.

Day 2 — Words, voice, body and impact

Practise verbal, paraverbal and nonverbal techniques, respond to questions and deliver a presentation. Use feedback to revise and present again.

Practical activities

One sentence, different intentions

Deliver the same sentence with different tones, volumes, paces and pauses; discuss how the perceived intention changes.

Presence without words

Communicate an intention through posture, gaze and gestures, then add words and voice to explore alignment.

The emotional elevator

Tell a short passage with a deliberate change in emotional intensity; compare how different choices support or distract from the intended message.

Storytelling workshop

Turn a real situation into a short story with a turning point and a clear takeaway, then share it with the group.

Structure and opening

Reorganise a message around one main idea and try an opening and conclusion suited to the audience.

Present, receive feedback, present again

Deliver a short presentation, handle audience questions and repeat a passage after feedback on words, voice, body and impact.

Delivery and duration

The live course is delivered over two days, either in person or through live online sessions. Both formats include facilitated activities and interaction. Confirm the dates, daily timetable and delivery format in the product information before booking.

Review and feedback

Feedback is developmental: it helps you identify what is clear, what distracts and what to practise next. Activities do not, by themselves, constitute a professional certification examination.

Another way to learn

Prefer to study the theory independently?

Public Speaking — Self-Paced Course

Two hours of recorded theoretical lessons, plus a quiz. No facilitated speaking practice or individual facilitator feedback.

Explore the self-paced course

Questions before you start

They are two delivery options for this live-training product. Check the selected session to confirm which format is offered.

Is this only a lecture?

No. The two-day experience combines theoretical input with practical speaking activities and feedback.

Does the self-paced version replace the practical activities?

No. It covers the theoretical subjects through recordings and a quiz, without the facilitated practice included here.

MedSirat Academy

MEDSIRAT Academy ·
